ARTEMIS Industrial Association approves Strategic Research Agenda on the playing ground of Embedded world 2011
Embedded world 2011 Exhibition&Conference and the ARTEMIS Industry Association for R&D actors in embedded systems again back-to-back with embedded world 2011. The ARTEMIS Industry Association held its annual ARTEMIS Spring Event in Nuremberg.
The embedded World program is fully within the scope for ARTEMIS. The need for close co-operation and synergy between all stakeholders in the European software industry and a vision how this is being achieved is the starting point to shake hands together on this Number 1 event for the total embedded world in Europe and outside. The involvement of ARTEMIS Industry Association, which was founded to strengthen Europe's advanced research and technology position in embedded systems focuses on synergy and collaboration.
ARTEMIS Spring Event joint located with embedded world
Professor Sturm, Chair of embedded world, described the joined event as ’Power of Synergy’ in the key note that he gave to the members of the Industry Association. Embedded world wants to grow internationally and ARTEMIS is and international community of more than 200 members in the association and more than 300 partners working together in the innovative ARTEMIS projects. It makes sense to come together.
ARTEMIS Strategic Research Agenda
The members of the Industry Association define a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) for the development of research and innovation of embedded systems in Europe. The ARTEMIS SRA been recalibrated and is the research backbone for an innovative funding programme. This ARTEMIS Spring Event marked a milestone because the recalibrated SRA 2011 has been approved by the ARTEMIS General Assembly. The launch of the SRA 2011 will take place at May 18 in Brussels.
New ARTEMIS Centre of Innovation Excellence
Another milestone for the ARTEMIS community is the Steering Board approval of ProcessIT.EU as a Centre of Innovation Excellence. ProcessIT.EU is a group of companies, end users, suppliers, academia and public authority bodies and is about automation in Process Industries. ARTEMIS is a core partner for Europe in the innovation of embedded systems. To become labelled by ARTEMIS is a strong platform to obtain the objectives.
